Industry Context:
Digital transformation has only reached a small fraction of apps and data. The first wave of digital transformation in the last decade was underpinned by the public cloud, a catalyst for new business models, experiences, efficiencies and offering developers, and IT operations the speed and agility to build, learn and scale new apps and capabilities and simplify IT.
Client Challenge:
Aside from cloud-native apps, the vast majority of apps (70%) that run the enterprise – ERP, CRM and more, lack the same speed and agility because they are not in the public cloud, they can’t easily be refactored for public cloud or they need to stay physically close to the data and other apps in data centers and colocations for data gravity, latency, application dependency and regulatory compliance reasons. And, with the data explosion at the edge and new ML/AI apps driving vast amounts of new data everywhere, data gravity, latency and application dependencies mean these containerized apps and cloud services need to be close to data to unlock insights all apps and data, everywhere, not just a small fraction of them.

We managed to transform service delivery with HPE GreenLake and brought the cloud experience to customer location, helping to transform the services delivered across the business:
- DevOps: fast provisioning of IT resources; developers love the simplicity and speed of deploying resources in the public cloud, and now they can achieve the same experience with HPE GreenLake.
- CFO: intuitive consumption analytics provide clarity to costs and usage for on-premises HPE GreenLake deployment. This enabled better decisions about where to align IT spend, how to optimize costs, and when to plan for more capacity, and frees capital, boosts financial flexibility.
- Legal: continuous compliance capabilities monitor over business and technical controls, so the compliance officers can now quickly see where and why they are out of compliance and how to remedy any issues
- CIO: It is easy for CIO to keep tabs on the KPI’s across the business hybrid estate. Check IT spending, forecast capacity, and monitor compliance, all through an intuitive point-and-click interface.
- IT Ops: The IT Ops have now a detailed capacity information so they can always see how much capacity is being used across your HPE GreenLake resources, compare to committed capacity, and project what’s forecasted to be needed in the future.
