Senior Financial Controller

We are looking for a results-driven and confident Senior Financial Controller to manage and improve our organization’s financial performance and direct our accounting operations. Duties for the financial controller will include managing accounting records, evaluating, and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.

What are you going to do:

  • Produce monthly management accounts and reports with strict adherence to company policies and timetables
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the key drivers of the business to derive clear and succinct analyses of the ongoing financial performance of operations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local tax, accounting, auditing, and external reporting requirements
  • Lead and coordinate the annual external audit
  • Prepare and monitor performance against forecasts and budgets
  • Treasury oversight in ensuring effective management of working capital
  • Provide analysis and strategic insight to senior management on a proactive and as-requested basis
  • Lead, mentor, and provide clear guidance to junior finance staff
  • Continually seek to improve productivity and efficiency through the development of processes and controls
  • Build and nurture relationships with key internal and external parties including banks, auditors, and legal counsel

What we are looking for:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
  • University degree – preferably Finance or Accounting
  • Proven experience in finance management
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals
  • Auditing experience
  • Compliance oriented
  • Proficiency in accounting software
